Solutions / Machine tending
Automatic loading and unloading of machining centres, lathes and transfer lines. The robot feeds the machine, marks the finished part and prepares it for assembly or packaging.
The starting point
A modern machining centre works much faster than an operator can load it, and it doesn't work when the operator isn't there. The break, the night shift, Friday afternoon: the machine stands still.
On top of that, you have to find people willing to do repetitive loading and unloading, and train them for a job nobody wants to keep for long.

Step by step
We start from the machine time and the part: that decides whether a robot is needed, which one, and with what gripper.
A gripper dedicated to the part and, where the position varies, vision for the pick-up.
We size pallets and buffer so the machine runs a whole shift without intervention.
Marking of the finished part and palletizing ready for assembly or packaging.
In production
A machining centre fed from pallets of raw parts, and a lathe loaded with tubular bars.
